About these terms

These terms cover the Naps & Notes app and this website. The app is made by Taiwo Afonja, trading as Naps & Notes, a sole trader based in Belfast, Northern Ireland ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you download it from the App Store, Apple's standard licence terms also apply.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Naps & Notes on devices you own or control, to keep records for your own family. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows you to.

Not medical advice

Naps & Notes helps you keep track of your baby's day. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Summaries, charts, reminders such as the vaccine schedule, and answers from Ask Naps & Notes are for information only and can be wrong or incomplete. Always talk to your GP, health visitor, midwife or pharmacist about your baby's health. In an emergency call 999, or 111 for urgent advice.

Your family space

  • You are responsible for who you invite. Anyone who joins your family space with an invite code can see and add to its records and photos.
  • You keep ownership of everything you add. You give us permission to store, sync and process it only so we can run the app for you, as described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • use the app to break the law or to record anyone without the right to do so;
  • upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you don't have the right to share;
  • try to access another family's space, get around our security, or overload our service; or
  • use automated tools to scrape or misuse the app or the assistant.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts other families at risk.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Naps & Notes running and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything essential, such as your child's official health record (the red book). We may update the app and these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for decisions made using information in the app, or for loss of data you could have kept yourself. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Ending your use

You can stop using Naps & Notes at any time and ask us to delete your data, as explained in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
